In 1982 Gray was named to the NASL’s first North American All-Star team. Gray was a member of the national youth team that played in the 1979 FIFA World Youth Championship in Japan. He then made his senior debut for Canada in a September 1980 friendly match against New Zealand and earned a total of 34 caps, scoring 2 goals. On April 8, 2010, Gray was appointed the head coach for the Tacoma F.C. of the USL Premier Development League.

John Gerard: was an English herbalist famous for his herbal garden. After being educated in Willaston near Nantwich he started to study medicine and travelled widely as a ship's surgeon. From 1577 on, he supervised the gardens of William Cecil, Lord Burghley in London. In 1595 Gerard became a member of the Court of Assistants in the Barber-Surgeon's company, in 1597 he was appointed Junior Warden of the Barber-Surgeons, in 1608 Master of the same.In 1596, he published a list of plants cultivated in his garden at Holborn, still extant in the British Museum, and in 1597 his famous Great Herbal. In 1633 an enlarged and amended version was printed. Gerard used the Materia Medica of Dioscorides, the works of the German botanists Fuchs and Gesner and the Italian Matthiolus. The 1597 and 1633 editions are commonly referred to as Gerard's Herbal.

She performed in The Wedding Glide and Eclipse, written by E. Phillips Oppenheim. In 1921 Gerard was cast in the motion picture The Cave Girl. She acted in The Rat, a theatrical production taken from a work penned by David L'Estrange. The presentation was staged at the Colonial Theatre in London in 1925.
