Aung Kyi: is the Minister of Labor and Minister of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement in the Cabinet of Burma. He has been Minister of Labor since 2007, having been appointed on 24 October 2007 by the then ruling State Peace and Development Council. In October 2007, he received an additional, concurrent appointment as minister for relations to detained National League for Democracy leader Aung San Suu Kyi. He was named deputy minister for labor in November 2006, and in that capacity has been in charge of relations with the International Labor Organization. In February 2007, he brokered a deal with the ILO to establish a new system of reporting of complaints of forced labor. He was appointed Minister for Labour in October 2007.

Myint Aung: was a well known Burmese film director and film actor. He was the father of famous actress Mo Mo Myint Aung.Myint Aung was born to Daw Aye Nit and U Kyauk Kwe in Kawa in Bago Division in 1931. He founded Myint Aung Film Company in 1957. Some of his famous films he directed and acted in were Maung Yupa Yon, and Zatlan Pa Ma. Although his other famous films like Chit Nyima (1957), Mya Pan Wutyi (1957), Myitta Shwe Yi (1960) produced stars as well as Myanmar Academy Award winners, the award eluded the director himself.

Thet Win Aung: was a Burmese student activist. He took part in the 1988 Movement as one of the leading members of his high school student union, Tamwe Township. In 1989, he was elected vice general secretary of the Basic Education Student Union (BESU). He was dismissed from his school for his political involvement in student demonstrations, later jailed for 9 months for aiding in forming the Student Union. In 1994, the MIs tried to arrest him again because he published the ABFSU pamphlets and organized student demonstrations to commemorate the 32nd anniversary of 7 July Affair. (In 1962, the military regime killed hundreds of the university students by dynamiting the student union building at the Yangon University.) Although he escaped, his home was searched frequently and his family was harassed incessantly while he was on his run. From behind the scenes, he took part in the 1996 student demonstrations and helped organized the student protests against the poor quality of education and students' rights in 1998. He was arrested in October 1998, and sentenced to 59 years in prison. At first, he was detained in Kalay Prison, Sagaing Division. He was moved to Khamti Prison, and transferred to the Mandalay Prison at 2004.

Win Aung: was a Burmese military officer and politician who served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1998 until 2004. Win Aung served as an ambassador to Germany and the UK until he was appointed as Minister of Foreign Affairs in November 1998. During his tenure as foreign minister, he often bore the brunt of international criticism on many issues, especially for his government's repression of political dissidents such as Aung San Suu Kyi, while visiting foreign nations. In September 2004, he was dismissed from his post, along with several other ministers, following a purge of members of the Military Intelligence faction of the State Peace and Development Council.

Nay Myo Aung: is an athlete from Myanmar, who competes in archery. At the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing Nay finished his ranking round with a total of 637 points, which gave him the 52nd seed for the final competition bracket in which he faced Rafal Dobrowolski in the first round. Dobrowolski won the match by 110-106 and Nay was eliminated. Dobrowolski would lose in the third round against Park Kyung-Mo.

Taw Paya Galay Aung Zay: was a Burmese novelist and politician. He was grandson of King Thibaw. In 1948, he established Thibaw Trading Syndicate Ltd. and served as a Director. In 1950, he established the Union of Burma Exporters Oriental Corporation also becoming its Director. Between 1955-1957, he served as an organizer at the Headquarters, Trade Union Congress (Burma) (TUCB). Between 1957 and 1964, he served as Central Executive Committee Member of the Internal Peace League, the World Peace Congress (Burma), and the Asia-Africa Consolidation Organization as treasurer, and for the National Committee against Kuomintang Invasion and Imperialism. In 1961 he worked for the China-Myanmar Friendship Association, and the Korea-Myanmar Friendship Association. In 1961, he served as the Commerce Mission of Government of Burma to China and North Korea in 1960 and to China in 1961. He also travelled to Hong Kong, India, Japan and Thailand. In 1964 he was the administration manager at MIEc headquarters but resigned the following year by force because of his moral character. His wife was Khin May and his daughter is Dewi Thant Zin.
