Raymond Lewenthal: was an American pianist.Lewenthal was born in San Antonio, Texas to Russian-French parents. His birth date is often given as 1926, but he was actually born three years earlier in 1923 (an examination of his birth certificate has confirmed this). The false birth year was probably an attempt to assist his career as a child actor. After spending several years as a child movie actor in Hollywood, he studied the piano there with Lydia Cherkassky, mother and teacher of the renowned pianist Shura Cherkassky. In 1945 he won all three of the major competitions then being held in California: The Young Artist Competition at UCLA (judged by Bruno Walter), the Young Artist Contest of Occidental College, and the Gainsborough Award in San Francisco. He continued his studies at Juilliard as a full scholarship student of Olga Samaroff-Stokowski. Later Lewenthal worked in Europe with Alfred Cortot and with Guido Agosti.

Raymond Saunders: is an American artist born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1934. He currently lives and works in Oakland, California. Saunders is currently Professor of Painting at California College of the Arts, Oakland, California.[1] He is a visual artist, with a place in American art history.[1] He also donates his time to help spread the Visual process of art to many communities throughout the world.Saunders works in a large variety of media, but is mainly known for work that encompasses painting and transversal media juxtaposition, sometimes bordering on the sculptural (as in Pieces of Visual Thinking, 1987) but always retaining the relation to the flat wall key to modernism in painting. Saunder's painting is expressive, and often incorporates collage (mostly small bits of printed paper found in everyday life), chalked words (sometimes crossed out), and other elements that add references and texture without breaking the strong abstract compositional structure. This lends a sense of social narrative to even his abstract work which sets it apart from artists like Robert Rauschenberg, Jim Dine, or Cy Twombly, with which is has obvious affinities. Besides his painting, Saunders in known for his late 1960s pamphlet Black is a Color arguing against metaphoric uses of the concept 'black' in both the mainstream abstract and conceptual art world and Black Nationalist cultural writing of the time. Joseph-Antoine Raymond: was a Canadian politician and a four-term Member of the Legislative Assembly of Quebec. Raymond served as Mayor of Saint-Louis-du-Ha! Ha! from 1947 to 1964. He ran as a Union Nationale candidate in the 1952 election in the provincial district of Témiscouata and won. He was re-elected in the 1956, 1960 and 1962 elections, but he did not run for re-election in the 1966 election.

Donat Raymond: was a Canadian Senator and builder in the National Hockey League. Donat was a member of the Canadian Senate as a Liberal Party from 1926 to 1963. Donat was also head of the Canadian Arena Company that helped designed arenas throughout Canada. One of the major arenas he re-built was the Montreal Forum in 1968. One of his final acts was to approve the financing and plans of the arena before he died.
