Paola Gianturco: is an American author and acclaimed documentary photographer. Prior to becoming a photojournalist, she spent 35 years in executive positions in marketing, advertising and public relations. Currently Gianturco lives in Mill Valley, California, and is the author and photographer of four books, Women Who Light the Dark (2007), the story of local women around the world who are helping one another tackle the problems that darken their lives—including violence, poverty, illiteracy and disease; ¡Viva Colores!
