Guo was the Director and a senior researcher at the prestigious Beijing Electron Microscope Open Laboratory (aka Beijing Laboratory of Electron Microscopy) and the Center for Condensed Matter Physics and Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences[2].
