Kasia Stankiewicz: a Polish pop singer. She started her career in 1995 singing a song by Varius Manx, a multi-platinum Polish band, in the TV song contest Szansa na sukces (A Chance for Success). A few months later she actually became the lead vocalist for Varius Manx, replaceing the former vocalist Anita Lipnicka. In 1996 they recorded Ego – a 5 times platinum album. The hit singles "Orla cien", "Ten sen" and "Mówia mi" were high in the Polish charts for months. In 1997 she recorded a platinum soundtrack for the Polish movie Nocne graffitti and her second album with Varius Manx entitled End. There were #1 singles off the album again ("Kiedy mnie malujesz", "Najmniejsze panstwo swiata", "Czy tak chcesz" "Próbujcie marzyc") and it became platinum. In 1999 she recorded her first solo album, Kasia Stankiewicz, with soul and jazz compositions. In 2000 she recorded her last album with Varius Manx, Najlepsze z dobrych (The Best of the Good Ones)
