Kameya Tokujiro: was a pioneering, though now little-known, nineteenth-century Japanese photographer. Kameya's original surname was Abe (??); he was adopted by a family named Kameya.[2] He learned photography at Deshima, the Dutch enclave in the harbour of Nagasaki where physicians Jan Karel van den Broek and J. L. C. Pompe van Meerdervoort taught photography in addition to medicine and chemistry. In turn, Kameya taught photography to Tomishige Rihei, who became his apprentice in 1862. The same year, Kameya moved to Kyoto to open a photographic studio – the first commercial studio in the city.

Seiji Kameyama: a Japanese hip hop musician who raps in both Japanese and English. He was born to a to a Japanese father and American mother and during high school he lived in the United States. He is affiliated with the creative group KAZENOHITO. In 2005, he formed the group WISE'N'SONPUB with beatmaker SONPUB, and the group TERIYAKI BOYZ with RYO-Z, ILMARI (from RIP SLYME) and VERBAL (from m-flo). He made his major debut as a solo artist with the single "Shine Like A Star" on February 21, 2007.
