Jolette Hernández Navarrete: a Mexican participant in a Mexican reality show, "La Academia". She was arguably the most controversial participant and is credited for the seasons very high ratings. Jolette always wanted to be an artist; after finishing her school she studied Communications at university. In 2005 Jolette decided to enter the castings of the Tv Azteca's Reality Show "La Academia" , where she was finally accepted and became one of the 18 students who participated on that reality show. She lasted there 17 weeks, being one of the most supported students. Jolette's participation in this reality show was undeniably controversial: although her performances on stage were harshly criticized by Lola Cortez and Arturo López Gavito (members of the critics panel), she had the ability to arouse sympathy among the audience, which caused her a prolonged stay on the show, despite her obviously limited vocal capabilities.
