Joe Beasman Hall: was the head basketball coach at the University of Kentucky from 1972 to 1985. He previously coached at Central Missouri State University and Regis University before returning to UK in 1965 to serve as an assistant coach under Adolph Rupp.Along with the 1978 title, Hall also guided Kentucky to a runner-up finish to UCLA in the 1975 NCAA tournament (which included an upset of heavily-favored and previously undefeated Indiana in a regional final), a Final Four appearance in the 1984 NCAA Tournament (losing to eventual champion Georgetown), and an NIT championship in 1976. He won 8 Southeastern Conference regular season championships and one Southeastern Conference tournament championship (1984).

Joe Feeney: was an American tenor singer who was a member of The Lawrence Welk Show television program.Born to an Irish-American family in Grand Island, Nebraska; Feeney first started singing as a boy soprano in his hometown's church choir and after high school, he landed a guest appearance on the show Youth Opportunity Hour. His mother Mary supported him in all of his activities. While he attended to his studies at the University of Nebraska, where he was also football quarterback, he entered several singing contests, which included a spot on the Arlene Francis program, Talent Patrol. [1] In 1956 while he was working at radio station WOW in Omaha, the station manager sent recordings of Feeney's voice to the Welk offices in Santa Monica, California where Lawrence Welk offered him a job on his show.
