Eugenia Duran Apostol: is a journalist from the Philippines. She was awarded the 2006 Ramon Magsaysay Award for Journalism, Literature & Creative Communication Arts.[1] She is also an alumna of the University of Santo Tomas.After the assassination of Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. in 1983 her magazine Mr. & Ms. started to report weekly on abuses from president Ferdinand Marcos' regime. In 1985 she founded the Philippine Daily Inquirer, which later became the Philippines' largest newspaper.
