[1] Eric Schiller represented the University of Chicago several times in the Pan American Intercollegiate Team Championships. He was awarded the title of Fide Master shortly after reaching a rating of 2300 points. Since then, he has fallen down the charts and according to the July 2007 FIDE list he has an Elo rating of 2174.[2] He is also an International Arbiter[3] and was the arbiter of a chess match between Garry Kasparov and Vladimir Kramnik in 2000[citation needed].
