Brian Dwight Taylor: is a retired American professional basketball player. A 6'2" guard from Princeton University, he was selected by the Seattle SuperSonics in the second round of the 1972 NBA Draft. However, he began his professional career with the New York Nets of the American Basketball Association, for whom he played four seasons, appearing in two ABA All-Star Games. He joined the NBA as a member of the Kansas City Kings in 1976, and he averaged a career-high 17 points per game in 1976-1977. He also played for the Denver Nuggets and San Diego Clippers, before retiring in 1982 with 7,868 career points. His son, Bryce, is currently a junior guard for the Oregon Ducks. Today, Brian works as a high school principal in Los Angeles.

He made the NBA All-Rookie Team with the Lakers, and was then traded to the Milwaukee Bucks as part of the trade that brought Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to the Lakers. He had a productive, if unspectacular, 9-year career that included two appearances in the NBA All-Star Game and playing on 6 playoffs teams. Winters averaged 16.2 points and 4.1 assists over his career, with his best years coming from 1975-1979 when he averaged over 19 points and slightly less than 5 assists per game. His number 32 was retired by the Bucks.

He scored 2,442 points in three seasons with the Packers, then joined the Chicago Stags of the NBA when the Packers franchise folded in 1949. The Stags quickly traded Brian to the Tri-Cities Blackhawks, whom Brian represented as an NBA All-Star in 1951.
