Alexander then attended the University of Paris, where he met Janine Denni. They were married in 1946. Alexander died May 17, 2007, two weeks after the death of his wife of sixty-one years. He is buried at Arlington Cemetery Co in Drexel Hill, Pennsylvania. His daughter, Madeline Khalil, died in 1990.

St. Antonio (junior college) before playing in the CBA and other minor professional leagues. During this time he was shot 3 times during a confrontation in Queens New York. Almost immediately thereafter he recovered and began playing again. When Tarkanian was named head coach of the San Antonio Spurs, he brought Daniels with him, and Daniels teamed up with David Robinson in the Spurs starting lineup. Daniels had an emotional return to New York City during the preseason, where he dominated the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, electrifying the crowd
