Shehu Mohammed Shagari: is a Nigerian football who is currently playing in the Nigerian Premier League for Kano Pillars F.C.. Shehu began 2004 his career with Kano Pillars F.C. The left Midfielder was promoted to the first team in 2008. Shehu is member of the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup squad. He was a reserve player in the first game on 25 September against Venezuela and was with the team in the August 2009 Training Camp in Spain.

Shehu Usman Aliyu Shagari: served as the President of Nigeria's Second Republic (1979 - 1983), after the handover of power by General Olusegun Obasanjo's caretaker government.Shagari is a northerner of Fulani extraction and holds the title of Turakin Sakkwato in the Sokoto Caliphate. He worked as a teacher for a brief period before entering politics in 1954 upon his election to the federal House of Representatives.

Mehmet Ismail Shehu: was an Albanian Communist politician who served as premier of Albania from 1954 to 1981.From 1942, Shehu participated in the Partisan movement (Albanian resistance) and the work of the Albanian Communist Party. In 1943, he was elected as a candidate member of the Central Committee of the Party. From 1943 to 1944 he was the commander of the 1st Partisan Brigade. Thereafter, he was a division commander of the National Liberation Army. From 1944 to 1945 he was a member of the Anti-Fascist Council of National Liberation (the provisional government).
