Rafiq Zakaria: was an Indian politician and Islamic scholar. He was closely associated with India's freedom movement and the Indian National Congress party.Zakaria spent over 25 years in public service, including years as a cabinet minister in the union state of Maharashtra, and later as a Member of the Indian parliament, serving as Deputy Leader of the Congress Party under Indira Gandhi. He was a moderate Muslim who criticized the policies of Muslim appeasement in India, an issue on which he parted company with the Congress Party. Zakaria represented India in many countries and also at the United Nations in 1965, 1990 and 1996.

Rafiqul Haque: a Bangladeshi journalist by profession, who is reputed for his excellent rhymes. Currently he works in the daily Jugantor, published from Dhaka as its Chief Sub-Editor. Earlier he had been the Executive Editor of the Dainik Rupali, also published from Dhaka.He founded a national children's organization called Chander Hat in 1973. He was the executive editor of the Kishore Bangla from 1976 to 1983, the only weekly newspaper for the children ever published on the Indian sub-continent. His involvement with children's movement started when he, in the capacity of the Feature editor of the daily Purbadesh, came to edit its weekly children's page also called Chander Hat. Rafiqul Alam Origin/Culture/Country: Muslim
Rafiqul Alam: is a former Bangladeshi cricketer who played in 2 ODIs in the 1986 Asia Cup. In his debut match, (against Pakistan), he scored 14. He followed this with 10 against Sri Lanka. He was a member of the Bangladesh team that took part in the 2nd ICC Trophy tournament in England. From the late 70's onto the early 90's Rafiqul Alam was one of the most consistent performers in domestic cricket arena. Unfortunately, he failed to achieve the same consistency in international arena. After serving as junior national selector in the 1990s, Rafiqul Alam concentrated on coaching club sides. In particular his success as head coach of Kalabagan Krira Chakra in the late 1990s and 2000, 2001 and 2002 are worth mentioning. In 2007, he became chief national team selector and has been serving this post till date. He is also the coaching director of Dhanmondi Cricket Academy since its inception.

Azeem Rafiq: is an English cricketer. A right arm off-spin bowler with a scholarship to Yorkshire, Azeem was also captain of the England Under-15s, and the first Yorkshire cricket player of an Asian background to captain any England cricket side at any level. He was called up for the England Under-15s, which he captained, and currently plays for Yorkshire Cricket Club's academy team, where he was names as Junior Performer of the Year. At two One Day Internationals at Loughborough University against Scotland where England's spinners took 17 of the 20 wickets, Azeem took 1-5 and 2-14. Azeem has also had success as a right-handed batsman, scoring 59 against Barbados U16 again while captaining the England U15s.

Afshan Rafiq: is a Pakistani Norwegian politician for the Conservative Party.She became involved in the Young Conservatives as a teenager, and served as a member of Oslo city council from 1995 to 2001. In 2001 she was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Oslo, as the first minority person elected to the Norwegian Parliament. Pakistan-born Athar Ali had served earlier, but as a deputy representative. Rafiq was not re-elected in 2005. Instead, she served in the position of deputy representative during the term 2005–2009.

Mohammed Rafique: A slow-left-arm orthodox bowler, Rafique is one of the few Bangladeshi players in the ICC bowler rankings' top fifty. He has become a permanent fixture in the national team, and is a household name in Bangladesh. To date he is the only Bangladeshi player to have taken either of 100 ODI wickets and 100 Test wickets. He has achieved the double of 100 wickets and 1000 runs in both formats.
