Anatole Milandou Origin/Culture/Country: African
Anatole Milandou: was the second bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Owando, in the Republic of the Congo, Africa. Born in 1941 in Pointe-Noire, Republic of the Congo, Kombo was ordained to the Roman Catholic priesthood for the Society of Jesus on July 6, 1973. Pope John Paul II appointed Kombo the third bishop of the Diocese of Nkayi on December 5, 1983 and he was consecrated bishop on January 6, 1984. On July 7, 1990, Pope John Paul II appointed Bishop Kombo to the Diocese of Owando. Kombo died in Paris, France on October 22, 2008. In October 1994, at the General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, at the Vatican, Bishop Kombo proposed that some Roman Catholic nuns be made members of the College of Cardinals, because of their mission to the Roman Catholic Church.
