Rahim Hasan Oglu Gaziyev: was Azerbaijani Defence Minister in 1992–1993, in the turmoil of the Nagorno-Karabakh War, and later a political prisoner.After the resignation of President Ayaz Mutallibov on 6 March 1992, no official body regulated Gaziyev's actions, which provoked him to break ceasefire on a number of occasions including artillery bombardment of Nagorno-Karabakh's capital city Stepanakert.[3] On 17 March 1992, Acting President of Azerbaijan Yagub Mammadov appointed Gaziyev (who had no professional military training) Defence Minister.

Rahim AlHaj: an Iraqi American oud musician and composer.AlHaj was born in Baghdad, Iraq and began playing the oud (an Arabic lute) at age nine. Early on, it was evident that he had a remarkable talent for playing the oud. AlHaj studied under the renowned Munir Bashir, considered by many to be the greatest oud player ever, and Salim Abdul Kareem, at the Institute of Music in Baghdad, Iraq. AlHaj won various awards at the Conservatory and graduated in 1990 with a diploma in composition. He also holds a degree in Arabic literature from Mustansiriya University in Baghdad.

Rahim Ouédraogo: is a Burkinabé footballer who currently plays for Dutch Jupiler League club FC Emmen. Ouédraogo, whose preferred position on the field is defender, joined FC Twente at the age of 16. He played for Twente until 2007. In between, in 2000/2001 he played one season at FC Zwolle, on loan. Ouédraogo was a member of the Burkinabé 2004 African Cup of Nations team, who finished bottom of their group in the first round of competition, thus failing to secure qualification for the quarter-finals.
