Muhammad Harif Sarwari Origin/Culture/Country: Afghan
Muhammad Harif Sarwari: entered the Meshrano Jirga, the upper house of Afghanistan's National Assembly in 2005.[1] He is a member of the Afghanistan Islamic Education Party.Sarwari studied electricity and electronics at a technical college, later transferring to Kabul Polytechnic.[1] But he did not complete his studies, joining the anti-Soviet resistance in 1982. In 1992, after the ouster of the communists, he was appointed the Chief of Security of Kabul. He later served as the first deputy of National Security Directorate. When the Taliban seized Kabul he joined the forces of Ahmad Shah Masoud, who was later to lead the Afghan Northern Alliance.
