Khalil Al-Rehman Azmi: was an eminent Urdu poet and literary critic. Born in village Seda Sultanpur, of district Azamgarh. His father Maulana Muhammad Shafi was deeply religious man. Khaleel-Ur-Rehman 'Azmi' matriculated from Shibli National High School, at Azamgarh in 1945. He graduated in 1948 and did his M.A. in Urdu from Aligarh Muslim University[1]. It was during this time that he was involved in giving tuitions to Ralph Russell[2], who was also in Aligarh at that time and later to develope long association with Khurshid-ul-Islam. He was awarded Ph. D. in Urdu in 1957 by Aligarh Muslim University titled Urdu Mein Tarraqipasand Adabi Tahrik.

Khalil Maleki: was an Iranian political figure, socialist and intellectual.During the early 1940s, Maleki had been one of 53 left-wing intellectuals who had been imprisoned by Reza Shah. After his release, he had been one of the original founders of the Tudeh Party (i.e. party of the masses), a communist and pro-USSR organization that desired to transform Iran into a socialist state modeled on that of the Soviet Union. The group played a significant role in organizing labor unrest and pushing for improved wages and living conditions for the working class of Iran, particularly those working in the oil fields of Khuzestan (then under the control of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company or AIOC).

Khalil Abdel-Karim: was born in Aswan City in Upper Egypt.Mr. Khalil Abdul-Karim joined the Muslim Brotherhood in his youth. After attaining his high school diploma he traveled to Cairo to study Law and he graduated from Cairo University (then, Fouad the First University). He then joined the Lawyers Syndicates. He spent two year as a trainee lawyer at the office of prominent Muslim Brotherhood lawyers. These were Mr. Abdul-Qader ‘Udda (the under-secretary of the society) and Ibrahim al-Taib (the head of the special apparatus of the society)
