Jalal Zolfonun: is a master of the setar, as well a composer and teacher of Persian music.From then on, he dedicated himself to the delicate instrument. He began combining the techniques of the older masters of setar with his own ingenuity and mystic sensitivity. And for the first time, Jalal Zolfonun introduced an ensemble of only setar players, creating the best selling album of traditional Persian music, Golehsadbarg (which means, "100 petal flower").

Jalal Dabagh: a prominent Kurdish politician and writer/journalist.He received his compulsory- and senior high school education in Silêmanî, where he also went on studying at teachers' training college.In 1959 Dabagh started working as a teacher at a compulsory school in Silêmanî. Thereafter, in 1962, he went to Romania for three years studying social science at Bucharest Institute of Social Science.

Sayed Mahmood Jalal: is a Bahraini footballer currently playing with Al-Salmiya of Kuwait and the Bahrain national football team.After starting at Al-Shabab, Sayed Mahmood Jalal joined Bahrain league giants Muharraq in 2003 and soon became a national team regular. He started four of Bahrain’s six matches in the 2004 AFC Asian Cup before signing for Qatar’s Al Khreitiat that same year.
