Samuel "Sami" David Alexander: was well known and influential Croatian Jewish industrialist and philanthropist. He was known as the organizational genius. In 1893 Alexander bought brewery in Sisak, "Sisacka pivovara". In Sisak he was elected as the ??representative in the city ??assembly and was vice president of the savings cooperatives for Sisak and surrounding areas.[6] Alexander owned the ceramic factory "Titanit", chemical factory "Danica", cement factory "Croatia", colliery "Mirna", cooking oil factory "Zagreb" (now "Zvijezda", part of "Agrokor" company) and was major shareholder of Zagrebacka pivovara. Alexander co-founded the "Zagreb Stock Exchange for the goods and values" (now "Zagreb Stock Exchange") and was co-founder of "Zagreb assembly" (now "Zagreb Fair"). He was also the elected president of "Industrialists Union" in 1919, and board member of the "Commercial Chamber". In the "Industrialists Union" he protected and promoted Croatian industry against Hungary and its economic policy in Austro-Hungarian Empire. Under his leadership all Croatian and Slavonia industry was grouped under the "Industrialists Union". Alexander also owned several residential buildings in Zagreb.

Gerda Alexander: was a Danish teacher who devised a method of self-development called Eutony. She was born in Wuppertal, Germany, but moved to Denmark in 1929. Alexander's "Eutony" claims to develop the ability to be aware and able to regulate muscular tone. The term was coined to express the idea of a harmoniously balanced "tonicity in constant adaptation to the state or activity of the moment".

Manuel De Jesús Alexander: is an former professional baseball infielder. He has played for the Baltimore Orioles (1992–1993, 1995–1996), New York Mets (1997), Chicago Cubs (1997–1999), Boston Red Sox (2000), Texas Rangers (2004) and San Diego Padres (2005–2006). He bats and throws right-handed. Alexander hit .293 with a homer and seven RBI in 33 games with the Cubs in his six weeks with the team in 1997. In 1998, he hit .227 in 108 games with Chicago, belting out a career-high five home runs. In 1999, Alexander appeared in 90 games with the Cubs and hit .271, the highest batting average of his career. His relative success in the regular season did not translate to post-season glory as Alexander went 0-for-5 in two games during the 1998 National League Division Series against the Atlanta Braves.
