My name is Asfia Khalid and I am from Rawalpindi, Pakistan. I am a female and Software Engineer by profession. My name was decided by my mother. When I asked my mother about meaning of my name she told me that its an Arabic word(don't know whether Syrian, Egyptian or some other)and its meaning is "Saint". On searching in an Urdu dictionary I found out that its meanings is "Pure" or "Something that is free of impurities". A few years back I went to the passport office and there someone told me that the name "Asfia" means "A special person that is chosen by Allah for some special purpose".
